DSV and Panalpina - achieving more together - see more at dsv.com
Panalpina’s global end-to-end e-commerce suite allows you to build a tailored solution from the below three main blocks. You choose whatever you need for your business.
The first block is the front end consisting of the web shop and connected order management system. This front end is powered by Intershop and because it is operated on a full SaaS (Software as a Service) basis, you can count on the best service levels and most modern technology including automated software upgrades.
E-fulfillment is the second block of our e-commerce offering. This includes warehousing, pick-and-pack, parcel distribution and returns management. We offer value-added logistics services in our facilities the world over, guaranteeing a rapid implementation wherever you want to gain a foothold. For last-mile delivery, we use global integrators as well as local couriers. To best meet your needs, we deploy a leading vendor integration system which supports automated carrier selection, transport order placement, carrier’s label printing, track and trace and proof of delivery feedback.
As a third block, we provide additional service components through partners with a proven track record. We can manage your web shop in terms of content (e.g. product catalogues, photos and descriptions) or promotions, season changes and merchandising. We also link your web shop to payment service providers, ensuring a smooth system integration and direct connection to your bank account. Last but not least, you can count on us to set up multilingual customer service centers with 24/7 support via phone, email and social media.
As our e-commerce customer you can select any or all of the above components. They can be fully integrated as one package, but each component can also be linked to other systems should you choose to source those outside Panalpina.
Our e-commerce services can be complemented with Panalpina’s other services such as inbound transportation. Additionally, our e-commerce customers have access to all other value-added logistics services such as (gift) packing, Demand-driven Inventory Dispositioning (D2ID), vendor-managed inventory (VMI) and 3D printing.
